Alexis Courtney creates hand-crafted functional wares with an emphasis on minimalist shapes and modern designs under the name East Clay Ceramics. She’s been working with clay since 2005, finally settling in to the craft in 2016 with the creation of East Clay. She is a ceramics educator and co-owner of Hand / Thrown, a community oriented studio that opened in 2018 in Richmond, VA.

East Clay ships anywhere in the U.S. All in-stock items will ship within 5 business days. We are unable to ship internationally at this time. Free local pick-up offered to anyone within the city limits of Richmond, VA.

Returns

Each piece is handmade by Alexis in the studio, therefore some variations in size and color may occur. If you would like to return a piece, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping and packaging it safely for travel. You'll receive a full refund for the cost of the piece upon safe return to the studio. 

If a piece arrives to you broken or cracked, Alexis will cover the cost and offer a full refund or replacement piece.
